During the tour around the museum you discover the peculiarities of hand weaving of the late 19th - early 20th centuries in Polotsk, Glubokoye, Miory, Sharkovshchina, Verkhnedvinsk, Postavy, Dokshitsky Rayons of Vitebsk Oblast from planting flax to the finished product through the calendar cycle of nature’s change.

The tour presents the flax and flax products as important part of Belarusian traditional culture, it reveals their sacred meaning and uncovers the secrets of craftsmanship.

Herb weaving master-class (* available in July-August)

Walking through the summer meadow you can either assemble or bouquet or weave a tapestry, which will remind you of summer on a winter evening. Herb Weaving has a long tradition in Belarus. We offre you to weave a wondeerful decorative panel using a variety of herbs, leaves, flowers that grow along the road, in the meadow and in the forest.
